Windsor Castle (£25 supplement)

This medieval town, rich in history and central to the United Kingdom monarchy is worth a visit for the Castle alone. It also benefits from great shopping, places to eat, the River Thames and is within walking distance of Eton College.

You will travel to Windsor by coach passing several sites of interest including the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215, JF Kennedy Memorial, River Thames and the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park. A ticket for Windsor castle is included with audio tour material and a special exhibition on Princes Charles is also showing. After the tour there will be free time to explore the cobbled streets around the castle and the shops.

Information about Windsor and Eton can be provided by the conference coordinator in advance.

It is planned to run this trip on Friday (the day of the banquet), there is not a gap in the scientific programme so the trip is primarily intended for accompanying persons. Full delegates / student delegates who wish to go on the Winsdor Castle excursion should contact Conference Management after registration to be added to the list.
