Getting to Royal Holloway
Travelling from LT25
If travelling to Royal Holloway from LT25 in Amsterdam the most direct route is to fly from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport to London Heathrow.
Several airlines offer direct flights compatible with leaving Amsterdam after the closing session on the 13th arriving in in plenty of time to check in at the Royal Holloway accomodation e.g.
BMI, British Airways and Lufthansa
The prices for one way flights for the 13/8/08 Amsterdam to LHR booked through www.opodo.co.uk are currently (updated 15/05/08) BA £69, BMI £79, Lufthansa £92.
After this it is a short taxi ride to the campus (12 km), a local taxi firm Gemini Cars 01784 471111 offers very competitive prices.
Bus number 71 leaves from Heathrow Terminal 5 and has a stop at Royal Holloway. This has a frequency of about once an hour with the last bus currently leaving at 21:40 ariving at Royal Holloway 22:08. For latest timetable see bus timetables
Alternative (normally cheaper) flights to London Gatwick ( 60 km ), Southampton ( 90 km ) and London Stansted (110 km) are also available, but these all require a longer more expensive transfer to Royal Holloway.
If there is enough interest we will be able to run a coach from the conference centre in Amsterdam to Royal Holloway, the cost for this will be approx. £40-£50 depending on the number of people wishing to travel by this route. By Car
Royal Holloway’s main campus is located only two miles from junction 13 of the M25, on the A30 London Road. After leaving the motorway take the A30 west, signposted to Bagshot and Camberley. At the roundabout, continue on the A30 up Egham Hill, the College is on the left at the top of the hill.

Public transport
By train
The nearest train station is Egham, approximately 1 mile from Royal Holloway. It has direct links to London Waterloo and Reading. Please see South West Trains for details.
By bus
Buses from London Heathrow Airport, Egham, Windsor and Slough stop just outside the College gates. Please see Surrey County Council for details.
By plane
London Heathrow Airport is just 8 miles away and it is suggested that local taxi companies are contacted to travel from Heathrow, these will be available with other information in delegates confirmations.

Royal Holloway is well served by local bus services to Egham, Staines, Windsor and beyond. Egham offers regular train connections to Reading, Guildford and Central London. Buses and trains are often an easier and faster way of getting round the local area, particularly during peak hours.
